I won a TPT giftcard!

I won, I won, I won!!!  You have no idea how excited I am.  I NEVER win ANYTHING.  Erin from The Elementary Adventure did her drawing for the $25 gift certificate and I won!  The funny thing is that some of the things on my TPT wishlist are Erin's items so some of the money will probably end up going right back to her;)  Thanks so much Erin for having fabulous things in your store and double thanks for the gift certificate.  Here are just a few of the things from her store I have been keeping an eye on.  Click on the images to go straight to her TPT store...

This one (above) is actually free!

On another note, I only have 3 more days of summer vacation.  Boo!!!  Our first official workday isn't until Aug.20th but I plan on spending two full weeks getting my room set-up because we all know that once those "workdays" start, you can't get get any WORK done!!!  It will be meeting after meeting after meeting.  With this being said I am sure you can all understand why I am totally obsessing about all the things I need and want to get done.  So as I was blog stalking hopping last night I found two fabulous ideas that will DEFININTELY be happening in my room...
Definitely doing this...love it so much better than the marbles in jar!!!
To replace my current method of putting marbles in a jar for class compliments!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this for the back wall in my "blank slate" classroom...

This is at the BACK of the room, the SMART board is on the front side.
Do you think this is the best place for my word wall?

And last but not least, after seeing Erin's (The Elementary Adventure) Teacher Toolbox I have finally come to the conclusion that this is a MUST DO project for me...

Visit Mrs. Rojas at Create, Teach, Share for an explanation of how to do this project yourself. Although I am incredibly sad to see my easy, breezy, summer day's come to an end, I am absolutely itching to get in my new room to start work!  If I was writing this for any other audience other than a group of equally obsessed teachers I would probably make some comment about how I know this makes me weird.  But amongst my peers...I know you all understand perfectly!:)
